Applying for a Primary School Place

(Reception September 2025)

If you have a child due to start school in September 2025 (whose date of birth falls between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021), the application process for a primary school place opens in November 2024. We will publish dates of our open events here shortly, so watch this space.

Choosing a school for your child is one of the biggest decisions you will make for them, and we know you will be desperate to choose the one that is right. We are here to help you every step of the way and to answer your questions. We would love to welcome you on a tour of the school and show you all that our lovely school has to offer your child.

We would also love for you to join us for one of our Swalecliffe Pre-School Storytime sessions. Please see the poster below for details of what we offered last year, just to give you a flavour. Details of this years sessions will be updated soon. There is a maximum of 8 children per session, so booking is required.

The children love using our popular 'Robin Hood' climbing frame with its bouncy safety surface. Our school grounds are amazing!

Year 3 September 2025

If your child is looking for a junior place in September 2025, we can admit children at that point in their school career where space allows. So, please call the office on 01227 272101 to book a tour to look around our lovely school. We are more than happy to answer any further questions you have. To add your child to our waiting list for September 2025, please complete the In-Year Admission Form below.

In Year Admissions

For those of you who have children wishing to join our school, please contact the school office if you have any queries regarding places, would like to join our waiting list, or would like a tour of the school. As it stands, we have a few spaces in the majority of our year groups due to the falling birth rate.  We are more than happy to answer any further questions you have. 

Once you have decided that you would like a place at our school, please complete the In-Year Admission Form below to add your child to our list of enquiries.

Before and After School Child Care

We are also pledging to ensure that we will always have the capacity to meet the breakfast and after-school care that you may need through our excellent ABC on-site provider, so you can make your choice of school without that worry. If they ever say they can't arrange it, then we will sort out the problem for you ourselves, rest assured.
