Peanut Allergies

A small but significant number of our children suffer from nut allergies which can lead to Anaphylaxis (the swelling of the mouth and windpipe). This can be an extremely serious condition and very frightening for the child if they come into contact with even nut traces as they could find themselves unable to breathe.

Although the school cannot instruct you not to send foods in lunchboxes that contain nuts, I am sure you have empathy with the children who have this condition. Therefore, I would please request that these products are avoided whenever possible so that we can keep the children safe.
