Our Vision

Our vision for Music is that all children in our school develop an understanding of and a passion for Music: sharing their knowledge, skills, engagement and enjoyment with others.

Music Intent

It is our intention that all children in our school will have access to the music curriculum and undertake their journey regardless of circumstances or ability.

Across the curriculum we provide opportunities for listening and appreciation, singing, composing, improvising, playing and performing.

We aim to build skills and confidence alongside an understanding of the place of musical styles and genres within a wider social, historical and geographical context.

Enthusiastic teachers are committed to sharing their love of the subject to foster a lifelong passion for music and talent as musicians.
